Students awarded WKLL academic certificates

      On Nov. 28, four students from each grade in Logan High School spent the morning taking standardized academic tests.  The subject areas of those tests were: Math, Social Studies, Reading, Science and Written Expression.  On that same day students from schools in the Western Kansas Liberty League were taking the same tests.

      On Jan. 24, LHS students were recognized if they took the test and placed in the top 10. WKLL medals were presented to those scoring in the top 3 in each subject area, as well as the overall scores.  Students who were in 4^th-6^th place received certificates from the WKLL. Congratulations to the following students!!

Seniors         Michael Daniels – tied for 9^th in Reading, tied for 10^th in S.S.

                        Matthew Kirkendall – 10^th in Math, 3^rd in S.S., tied for 10^th in Science, 8^th overall

                        Elsie Prather – tied for 9^th in Writing, tied for 5^th in S.S., tied for 8^th in Science, 10^th overall

                        Brianna Pinkerton – tied for 7^th math

                                    The seniors finished in 3rd place in the league.

Juniors          Camryn Greving – 10^th in Reading, tied for 7^th in Writing, tied for 10^th in S.S., tied for 3^rd in Science

                        Zach Jansonius – tied for 8^th in Reading, tied for 2^nd in Math, tied for 1^st in S.S., 9^th overall

Sophomore Khloee Braun – tied for 6^th Math, tied for 7^th Writing, tied for 10^th S.S., 8^th Science, 9^th overall

                        Ian Sparks - tied for 7^th Writing

                        Haylee Tien – tied for 3^rd Reading, tied for 6^th Math, tied for 7^th S.S., tied for 6^th Science, tied for 4^th overall

                                    The sophomores finished in 3^rd place in the league

Freshman   Camille Gottschalk – tied for 6^th Writing

                       Dylan Van Laeys – tied for 8^th Reading, tied for 1^st Math, tied for 2^nd Writing, tied for 3^rd S.S., tied for 7^th Science, tied for 2^nd                         overall

Overall the Logan students finished in second place! Golden Plain High School was first and Wheatland/Grinnell was third.
