Lady Trojans give Huskies a tough game

On Friday, March 2 the Logan Lady Trojans faced the Northern Valley Huskies for the 4th time this season.  The stakes were high in this game, as it was the semifinal game of the sub-state tournament being hosted in Palco.  The Trojans were applying their own full court pressure in this game and after the first quarter the Trojans were down 15-16. By halftime the Huskies had extended their lead to seven (21-28).  The Trojans were not going away though, as they tied the score at 34 with about 4:30 left in the 3rd quarter.  However, the 42 second half points that the Huskies put up was just more than the Trojans could handle and it put them on the short side of a 48-70 game.  In this final game of the 2017-18 season the girls had nothing to be ashamed of as they had some very good things going and anyone who watched the game that would say that the game seems much closer than the score showed.  In the game the Trojans were led by senior Ryann Kats with 13 points and 11 rebounds.  Junior Brianna Pinkerton put in 12 points and had 2 steals and sophomore Harlee Voss had 10 points, 4 assists and 5 steals.
