Logan ladies 1 and 1 at home

The Logan Trojans hosted their first home matches of the season to Wheatland/Grinnell and Palco.

The junior varsity improved their record to 4-0 as they beat both visiting teams.  The varsity went 1-1 on the night with a loss to Wheatland and a win against Palco.

Against Wheatland/Grinnell, the Logan ladies struggled throughout the game scoring only 10-25 and 16-25.  "This was a rough home opener for us.  The Thunderhawks had something to prove, and we were not able to put much together.  The struggles of today will serve as motivation for all of us in the practice gym.  The season is about getting better and that continues to be our goal," said head coach Robin Van Laeys.

The Palco game proved better as the Trojans were able to pick up their confidence and played more consistently winning 25-20 and 25-16.  "We were able to get some offense going by pushing the ball to the middle of the floor where they were having a hard time defending.  This helped Ryann Kats as she had a big night with 12 kills.  We served better than the first match and were able to convert better on the free balls, but all in all, we still have a lot of work on improving the consistency of our game,"  said coach Van Laeys.
