Lady Trojans win in overtime
The evening was kicked off by JV girls basketball action at the Logan gymnasium on January 29. The Lady Trojans were led by sophomore Lexi Hilburn. She poured in 11 points during the two quarters and shot seven for eight from the foul stripe. The Trojans had an impressive 26-6 victory.
A month and a half ago, the Logan and Weskan girls faced off at the Sagebrush Shootout and Logan finished that game with a impressive 16 point victory. Now, on January 29, the two teams once again got to face-off, but this time it proved to be a back-and-forth battle to the end. The Lady Trojans were able to hold on and claim a 49-47 victory in the single overtime game. At each quarter neither team led by more than two points through the game and at the end of regulation, the score was knotted up at 41. With 4.5 seconds left in overtime, junior, Kayla Hofaker, scored two of her four points, which gave the Trojans the go ahead points to land the victory. Logan was led by senior Christen Greving with 10 rebounds and senior, MaKayla Hilburn, who had 14 points on the night.
