Sign up for Driver's Education class starting June 3

Logan High School will once again be offering Driver’s Education.  It will be held June 3-13.

To be eligible to take the class, you must be age 14 by June 3.

Please email, call, or text me to let me know that you are planning on taking the class.

There are several things you need to do before class.  One is to read and study the Kansas Driving Handbook, which you can find online at www.ksrevenue.org/pdf/dlhb.pdf or at the Phillipsburg driver’s license station (it will cost $2 there) if you want a paper copy.  Before a student can drive, they’ll need to pass the state written test (80% or better required to pass).  This test is based on the state handbook, and is 40 questions in length. After you complete the test with at least an 80% you will be issued a learner’s permit and will be able to drive with your parents or another adult 18 years or older even before you start driving during Driver’s Ed.  We will do this the first day of class so that you can start driving!

There are several things that I need from you on or before the first day of class.  One, a copy of your birth certificate as state law requires.  Two, a $110 check made out to USD 326 ($125 for students not currently enrolled at LHS).  Three, your farm or learner’s permit if you have one.  You must bring these items with you on the first day of class.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email (lojansonius@logan326.net) or call me (689-8007).

Mr. Jansonius
