Boys take second at WKLL tournament
The Trojan boys basketball team played in the WKLL Championship game on Saturday, Feb. 3 in Colby at the Community Center against the Northern Valley Huskies. In this third meeting between the two teams, the Huskies went out to an early 19-8 lead in the 1st quarter and the Trojans never could recover. The Trojans were defeated by a score of 51-67. While the Trojans hit 7 three pointers in the game, it didn’t stack up to the 13 made by the Huskies. Seniors Colton Greving and Lane Stapleton set the pace for the Trojans with 20 and 19 points respectively. On Tuesday, Feb. 6 the Trojans travel to Smith Center for a matchup against the Redmen.
