Daily Requirements:

Students should arrive at class each day:

1.              with a supply of paper and pencil/pen for notetaking.

2.              having read and understood assigned readings.

3.              having completed all assignments.

Classroom Expectations:

Students are in school to learn, and any behavior that distracts others from learning cannot be tolerated.  The following rules will be used:

1.              Follow my directions.

2.              Be in your seat ready to work when the tardy bell finishes its ring.

3.              Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

4.              There will be no put-downs, cruel teasing, or swearing.

5.              Talking will occur at appropriate times and always at a normal volume.

6.              There will be no cell phones, iPod devices, pop, candy, or gum in the classroom.

7.              If a substitute teacher leaves your name as being a problem, it’s an automatic 30 minute detention.  Treating guests poorly won’t be tolerated.

Failure to follow the above rules will result in these steps:

1st offense-            Warning.

2nd offense-            15 minutes detention after school.

3rd offense-            30 minutes detention after school.

4th offense-            Sending of student to Mr. Adams' office.

*After the first step, parents will be notified.

**In extreme cases the instructor may go directly to step #4.

Cheating will be dealt with harshly:  any student involved in cheating will receive a 0% for that assignment or test, as well as detention time to be determined at the time of the incident.  By cheating you are giving up your opportunity to use your mind, as well as cheating your classmates who put in their time and effort doing homework or studying for a test.
