Logan 8th graders win WKLL Scholars Bowl

On Wednesday, Feb. 18 the 7th and 8th grade Scholars Bowl teams went to Bird City for the League Scholars Bowl competition. They competed against teams from Heartland Christian, Grinnell, Western Plains, Cheylin, Triplains, Weskan, Golden Plains and Northern Valley.
For 8th grade: Logan went undefeated and took 1st place! Heartland Christian earned 2nd, Cheylin received 3rd, and Northern Valley got 4th. This 8th grade team also got first place at League last year as 7th graders. High point scorer for 8th grade was Kinley with 260 points. Highest point categories were: Miscellaneous; then Social Studies and Math; then ELA/Science/Sports.
For 7th grade: Western Plains won 1st, Heartland Christian 2nd, Northern Valley 3rd, and Golden Plains 4th. High point scorers for 7th grade were Bryson and Zoe, with highest categories in Social Studies, then Science and ELA.
Almost everyone for both 7th and 8th grade teams put points on the board for this meet. They all did a great job!!!
The last meet for the year will be at Northern Valley on Feb. 26.
