Girls fight for the win

The final regular season game for Logan High School was played on Friday, February 24.  Because this game was in Logan, it also provided the opportunity to honor the seniors of 2017 and their parents.  The seniors honored before the game were:

Crystal Bliss, daughter of Susie Bliss and Steve & Diane Bliss (dance)

Karlee Braun, daughter of Delton & Gina Braun (basketball)

Alyssa DeBoer, daughter of Shane & Stacie DeBoer (basketball)

Faith Hofaker, daughter of Jay & Paula Hofaker (basketball)

Marie Ko, daughter of Esther Lwin (basketball)

Tristen McClurg, daughter of Dustin & Crystal McClurg (basketball & cheer)

There was no JV due to shortage of players for Cheylin, and so the first tip was at 6:00.  The emotions of the night must have had an impact on the Lady Trojans as they were behind 16-17 at half.  The Trojans were able to turn things around after half and finished the game by outscoring Cheylin 30-8 and winning the game 46-25.  Freshman Harlee Voss was on fire that night, shooting 5 for 9 from behind the 3- point arch.  She had 17 points and 2 steals on that night.  Lexi Hilburn was right behind her with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals and Camryn Greving pulled down 9 rebounds in the win.  The girls will next face the Northern Valley Huskies at the Sub-state tournament in Palco on Thursday, March 2.
