Girls lose to Cardinals

The Plainville Cardinals came to Logan on Tuesday, January 24 for high school basketball.  Due to low numbers for the Lady Cards, the junior varsity girls only saw 2 quarters of action.  Even in that small amount of time, Plainville was able to rack up 34 points compared to the 19 Trojan points.  The varsity game looked very much like the JV game with the Lady Cardinals jumping out to a quick lead.  At the end of the third quarter the Trojans found themselves trailing by 16.  Despite this deficit, the Trojans never gave up and at one time were within four points of Plainville.  They never could get over that hump and eventually fell to the Cardinals by a score of 35-45.  The Lady Trojans were led by Karlee Braun with 20 points and Ryann Kats who had 10 points and pulled down 11 boards.
