Junior Trojans split with Thunderhawks
The Grinnell/Wheatland Thunderhawks made their way to Logan on January 21. The B- team girls started out the evening playing 2 quarters. It was a rough start for the Trojans as the girls lost 10-18 in the first contest. This was followed by the C-team boys 2 quarter game. The Logan/Palco boys were on fire this evening as they commanded a 13-2 victory.
In a lengthy game full of altering lead changes, the B-team Logan/Palco boys scored an exciting 34-31 victory. It took an overtime period to decide the winner of this contest. The A team girls contest proved to be another even match up. The Logan girls lost in a disappointing 23-26 game that was filled with full-court pressure and important free-throws.
In the final match-up of the evening, the Logan/Palco A team boys gained a commanding win. After a slow start, they finished with a score of 44-29.
